US Soaring Q3 2024 (Jul Aug Sep)
(July 29th, 2024 - Jan. 2nd, 2025)
Tuesday night and Thursday night races,
Everyone is welcome. Fun tasks that run about an hour and fifteen minutes in length.
You must make an account at
condor.club and register for this competition. You'll get an email 2hrs before the race with task info.
You'll need the "AA2" scenery.

This is a 3 month contest covering Jul Aug Sep (26 tasks) that will be followed by Q4 2024 (26 tasks), Q1 2025 (26 tasks), etc.
You don't have to race every race to participate, only the 13 best scores will be used (half of the total).
Server launch times:
Tuesday - [5p PT], [6p MT], [7p CT], [8p ET], [12a UTC(wed)]
Thursday - [6p PT], [7p MT], [8p CT], [9p ET], [1a UTC(fri)]
Server launch times are offset by 1 hour (Thursday is 1hr later than Tuesday)
Server join time is 15 minutes.
Start gate is open for 10 minutes.
Maximum start speed of 92kts (170kmh) applies, time penalties will be applied for start speeds above that.
Server name is "US Soaring" - this server will only be up during the join period starting at the times above.

After your flight, save the .ftr file and upload it to the "Race Results" tab of that day's competition.
If you failed to save your .ftr file before closing condor it is saved as "LastTrack.ftr" in \Documents\Condor\FlightTracks
Please upload your ftr file even if you landed out.

Like in Grand Prix scoring, apply penalties of 5 seconds per kilometer per hour above 170 kilometers per hour at the crossing of the start line and 3 seconds per meter below the minimum safe altitude at the finish line.
