Fast ridge race from Sisteron airfield.

This version of the task still has very good thermals but everything feels a bit more realistic maybe a bit more adult for me. - And the small changes make the task more logical to fly.
The wingloading is now at 50 kg m² so the gilider can better react on the narrow thermals.

For me this version was more fun to fly than the first one and it was interessting to notice witch things changed , and what stays the same.

Fast ridge race from Sisteron airfild.

Tast starts quite slow because you have to gain altitude and the thermals are only medium.
In the mountains the thermals are strong and you can fly with burning wings.
TP 1 and 2 build a small triangel to avoid countertrafic . So that´s no problem but be aware of the chaning cloudbase.
At TP 3 you are nearly on filnal glide . Now you have to catch the best thermals on the way to be a few secounds faster.

We will fly a short task in the Standard Class. It is high summer in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

A frontal system is approaching the task area from the west, and showers are expected at the airfield around 16:00 local time. Before that, decent soaring conditions can be expected, with climb rates between 1.5 and 2.5 m/s and cloud bases around 1,400–1,500 m MSL.

Ahead of the front, climb rates may be locally reduced due to cloud shading. In the rest of the area, thermal streets can be expected as a result of the stronger westerly wind.

Sisteron AAT - 18m - 90 minutes (AA3 (Arc Alpin 3))

This version of the task is nearly logical and fun to fly.

Anyway, AAT´s in the mountains are often a bit strange for me. Everyone uses the same ridgelines.
( Speed is about 150kmh, I tested the task but the sectors had been a bit to smal so I had to change them to the way they are here )
