Description:
This scenery covers most of the soaring playground for glider pilots from the Colorado Front Range area. It stretches from the high plains of western Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas to the high alpine regions as well as the high deserts of Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming. Its big, bigger than Condor 2 could handle, as is needed to not feel too restrictive compared to real life.
In the past, this region was a destination "Diamond Mine" for pilots to get their altitude badges in the mountain wave. More recently, its a hidden gem for cross-country pilots wanting to experience the widely varying geography and weather conditions.
Its a work in progress with medium resolution aerial photo textures direct from USGS / NAIP hand tweaked for matching, first generation Condor 3 autogen features, many airports to access all areas of this varied scenery. Only a few airports have been detailed at this point, the primitive ones still have an 'x' prepended to their name, primarily focused on sites with real life gliding clubs. More to come. A complete and current airspace model is included, although this area has relatively few restrictions.
Please note that landscapes only work for their respective version of Condor. Condor 2 landscapes can be used on Condor 3 if and only if installed and converted with Condor Updater.
In order to offer a comfortable download, simultaneous downloads are limited. Please turn off download managers, they are not supported and will be blocked.
Condor Updater is a tool dedicated to the installation of Condor 2 & 3 landscapes and goodies. It’s the preferred (and the easiest!) way to download and install landscapes. You can download it from here.
