Description:
This "Very Small Scenery" was created to explore new possibilities and constraints of Condor2.
Especially the new Condor2's 30 m resolution for data elevation suits much better to the very tormented forms of this beautiful island.
It was built with the standard tools of CLT, and following the procedures of Jiri Brozeck's excellent guide, which I congratulate for the high quality of his work, and for his invaluable advice and information.
It is based on orthophotos IGN BD Ortho, available and free of rights for all uses in 5m resolution.
The general resolution of the textures remained in 5.6m per pixel, except for some areas around the airports.
The available photos beeing generally shot at the beginning or end of the day, the shadows of relief are quite marked, the new automatic shading mode has been disabled, to avoid unrealistic visual contradictions.
Most of the objects were created especially for this scenery, however you will recognize some Condor1 objects available on the CondorSoaring forum, and that I had to adapt for Condor2 format; many thanks to their authors.
Of course, all the objects contained in this scenery are completely free for reuse.
The elevation file was a specific concern.
The sources used, USGS NASA-STRM and ASTER-GDEM in 30m resolution, contained a large amont of errors, it has been corrected manually in many places.
For a future evolution of Condor, we may be able to benefit from the excellent IGN BD Alti data in 5m of resolution, if the trend towards open-data is confirmed...

Please note that landscapes only work for their respective version of Condor. Condor 2 landscapes can be used on Condor 3 if and only if installed and converted with Condor Updater.
In order to offer a comfortable download, simultaneous downloads are limited. Please turn off download managers, they are not supported and will be blocked.
Condor Updater is a tool dedicated to the installation of Condor 2 & 3 landscapes and goodies. It’s the preferred (and the easiest!) way to download and install landscapes. You can download it from here.
Should you need help for manual download and install, consult this page.
