A tricky start to this flight with a winch launch into wind on an unfriendly runway. The key to making a successful launch today is to consider what tool(s) you have to get the glider airborne and off this crazy runway as quickly and safely as possible. Hint: Flaps. Get airborne and you will find yourself climbing very well and should achieve a 2000ft AGL launch. From there you'll be scrambling to get yourself into a solid position for the start. Good luck... you may need it!! |
