Evening task with a lot of wind. Follow the ridges and find wave to eventually climb above the lenti's to 6000m and enjoy a scenic final glide, hopefully before the sun sets. To get the best results, you may need to make some interesting choices regarding your water ballast and final glide altitude.
BEWARE OF FLUTTER.
Maximum speed at high altitude is reduced dramatically. If your plane has a true airspeed VNE of 275 KmH, at 6000m your maximum IAS will only be ~210 KmH.
You are again able to repair your plane so you can at least complete the task, but will be better off flying a little slower and not taking the risk, as there is a stiff penalty if you break your wings. |
