Condor Italia Soaring Winter Cup - Race Day 8 - Saint Gaudens (Big Pyrénées 2)

For race 8, the last one before the Christmas break, the nice town of Saint Gaudens at the foot of the Pyrenees on the French side welcomes us.
Today's task reserved for club class gliders only will be about 200 km long and will cross the Pyrenees from the French side to the Spanish side and then return to France in Tarbes.
Strong thermals are expected, but be careful of the strong wind that could also trigger wave phenomena but also strong downwinds.
The Race Direction takes this opportunity to wish all participants a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Per la gara 8, ultima prima della pausa natalizia, ci da il benvenuto la simpatica cittadina di Saint Gaudens ai piedi dei Pirenei sul versante francese.
La task di oggi riservata ai soli alianti di classe club sarà di circa 200 km e attraverserà i Pireneri dal lato francese a quello spagnolo per poi tornare in terra di francia a Tarbes.
Si prevedono forti termiche, ma attenzione anche al forte vento che potrebbe innescare anche fenomeni ondulatori ma anche forti sottoventi.
La direzione Gara approfitta dell'occasione per fare gli auguri di un buon natale e felice anno nuovo a tutti i partecipanti.
