Cumulus Cup 2024 - Autumn race series
(Sept. 5th, 2024 - Dec. 12th, 2024)
This competition is about relatively short tasks in typical Finnish weather. Expect anything between blue thermals and low cloud bases.
Only the 3 best results will be used for overall scoring, so you can be successful even you can not attend all the races due to work, family or real life gliding.
### Single type gliders ###
To keep level of competitiveness as high as possible only one glider type is allowed for each race. ASW-20 and gliders included in the standard package of Condor are preferred. Water ballast allowed.
### Scenery and tasks ###
Tasks will take place in RayskalaWGC2014 scenery. Each task will take 1,5 to 2 hours. Tasks will be racing or AAT Distance tasks. The turnpoints for XCSOAR or external PDA can be found here (see link below). Tow or airborne launch. Maximum start height 1500 m or cloud base if lower. Finish height max 500 m. Penalty zones due to nearby TMAs.
