Competition's details

Low & Slow
(March 11th, 2019 - April 6th, 2019)

But Eager and Willing.

Low & Slow is the successor to Midnight Oil, using the same concept of original, sometimes playful, but often challenging tasks in realistic conditions. Despite this, required time is minimized by using airstarts, short time windows or regatta starts and providing tasks that should be doable in 60-90 minutes.

Three tasks will be hosted per week, each task will be hosted in two sessions, once at 20:30 CET (19:30 UTC), once at 22:30 CET (21:30 UTC).

The early 20:30 CET session will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturday (changed from Friday)
The later 22:30 CET session will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sunday (changed from Saturdays)

Participants are free to fly both sessions

Sceneries used will include:
- Arc Alpin 2
- Cascade Range
- Matamata
- Yunnan

Server settings
- Handicap : Yes
- Join time 20 minutes, race start: usually 1 minute after jointime end, start window open usually 0-5 minutes;

- Cloud flying is usually penalized

Servers
- name: BF6 Low and Slow
- Teamspeak: http://virtualsoaring.eu/teamspeak (BF channel)

LnS will run for 4 weeks, but may be repeated.
Out of the 12 tasks, your best 8 results will be taken in to account for the ranking.

The competition name is a tribute to a former condor pilot called SlowAndLow who helped organise the first lowlands cup. Its also a slight pun on the condor "Fast And Furious" competition.
And if its not an accurate description for a lot of your flights, then at least its a great way to cook BBQ meat :)

I have not found a way to show the late sessions on CC calendar, other than by creating a standalone event. Please refer to the early session to see the flight plan and upload your flight track there.
