MCC :: 18 metre Class
(June 18th, 2020 - July 30th, 2020)

MCC :: Marpingen Condor Competition :: 18 metre Class

Hello!
Something for fans of slow and careful flying. ;) All are welcome! Feel free to join. :)
The intention of MCC is to be Condor competition little closer to reality. The weather (tuned up a little) is not record suspicious but good enough for successful x-country flying. You can expect averages from 1.5 m/s to 2.5+ m/s, but cloud bases are below 1600 m., expect an average speed about 90 to 130+ km/h, so you must find the right balance between risk and caution and adjust your tactic to these conditions.
Three of the six days will be AATs. It is a real challenge and hopefully a great fun for every pilot who appreciates realistic tasks.

Tasks are inspired by the Deutsche Segelflug-Meisterschaft 2019 15m-/18m-Klasse
(German Championship, 18m in our case) which took place in Marpingen 22.07.2019-03.08.2019:

ATTENTION
Finish line is Marpingen (r = 4 km) with min. 600 m MSL height.

FYI: C2 PDA can now calculate DDH to min. alt of next (in case of finish line - last) turnpoint.

DDH = delta delta height
DDH = your altitude - turnpoint altitude - altutude lost to reach the next turnpoint with current MC setting,
so if DDH = 0, you will just reach the next turnpoint at its min. alt

Cloud flying is not allowed (60 penalty points per minute).

Dangerous flying is prohibited!
Thermaling direction is determined by the first glider in thermal.
Please ask via chat or TS if you have problem with determining circling direction.

Thanks to Erik / http://virtualsoaring.eu / we can now use TS.
If someone wants to use voice chat during race - please visit: http://virtualsoaring.eu/teamspeak for details.
