VCC :: Venlo Condor Competition :: Std Class

Hello!
All are welcome! :) Something for lowland fans!

We start Jan 29th with one and only official training task.

First racing day: Feb 5th (+ five Tuesdays till March 5th).

Time: Tuesdays

Server A and B: 20.00 CET [19.00 UTC]
Server C will start at 20.30 CET [19.30 UTC]

+30 min jointime, 1 min race in

Scoring: best 4 of 5 racing days, 1000 pts for the daily winner

Tasks are inspired by the 'Nationale Junioren Wedstrijd'
https://www.soaringspot.com/en_gb/nationale-junioren-wedstrijd-2018-venlo-2018/results
which took place between August 4th and August 11th in 2018 in Venlo.
Of course, in this region the weather is not so bombastic as in Australia. ;) So you can expect cloud bases between 1200 and 1700 m, average climb rates between 1 - 2 m/s and an average speed about 90 to 125 km/h. Please adjust your tactic to this conditions.

There will be two AATS during competition, here are few articles worth to read before flight:

Thanks to Erik / http://virtualsoaring.eu / we can now use TS.

Scenery we will fly:
Netherlands (Nov. 8th, 2018)
(Uncompressed scenery size: 4.83 GiB)

"This scenery is named "Netherlands" because the main bulk of the area is Holland. However my original aim with this scenery was to recreate the Dutch/Germany border area where I had flown quite a bit in real life. It therefore does not include all of the Netherlands and some key gliding sites in Holland will not be included.
There are some airfield details included but only a basic thermal map which means thermals can be anywhere.

Scenery download: https://www.condor-club.eu/viewscenery/242/?id=298
(BTW: Please do not mistake it with another NL scenery - Netherlands HD 2.02 by Lennartvm!)

More information soon. Stay tuned! ;)
Have fun and good luck!
