Condor World Cup 2018

We are pleased to announce
THE 2nd EDITION OF THE CONDOR WORLD CUP
We are going to fly around the world with tasks prepared by an international team of pilots.
The task setters are (alphabetically) :
AGO (Adam), CN (Norbert), COR (Andy), EPX (Chris), FK (Finn) GE7 (Anouar), PMG (Peter), TKM (Tim), 030 (Marek), 5W (Bodo)
You can expect very different flighs and a lot of surprises !
* CALENDAR *
- 2 training day : Thursday 26/10/2017 and Sunday 29/10/2017 at 18h30 UTC (20H30 CETS)
- 26 races : from Sunday 02/11/2017 to Thursday 04/02/2018 at 18H30 UTC (20h30 CET).
- No flights planned during Christmas Eve and New Year Eve

* TASKS AND SETTINGS *
- Glider: depending on the task ; Club, Standard, 15-meters, 18-meters, Open class are planned
- Handicap : Yes
- Join time 20 minutes, race start: 3 minute after jointime end, start window open for 60 minutes;
- For regatta tasks - join time 20min. start from the air, race start:10 minutes after jointime end
- Start line, finish line and turnpoints : alt/width depending on the tasks
- Briefing - full : 45 minutes before the race
- Only after mid-air collision is "Q" recovery possible
- Thermaling turn in start area (10 km) - left
- Plane icons range : generally up to 7 km
- Turnpoint helpers range : 0 km
* SCORING *
- The winner of each task can score a maximum of 1000 points
- 18 best results of each pilot will count towards the final result
Penalty zones (if in use) : 100 penalty points for zone entry + penalty points/minute in zone.(depending on the task)
- Cloud flying : 60 points/minute.
- Outland in task : points for distance.
- Crash : scored with 0 points + penalties on overall scores
- Missing FTR : scored with 0 points + penalties on overall scores
* CONDOR SETTINGS *
We recommend to set visibility and details to medium (to avoid bluescreens with older pc's or small configurations).
